Athletic Lite

Athletic Brewing have been the dominant force in non-alcoholic craft since launching out of Stratford, Connecticut in 2017. Athletic Lite is their bid for the mainstream light lager category, released in March 2022 as their lowest-calorie beer to date.

It's brewed with organic malt, wheat, and a proprietary rice product, finished with Hallertau and Saaz noble hops. That gets you 25 calories and 5g of carbs per 12oz can at under 0.5% ABV, a recipe Athletic spent nearly two years dialing in.

This one drinks watery and thin, with very little flavor to grab onto and that classic Athletic Brewing NA aftertaste sitting on top of it all. The packaging looks right at home next to regular light lagers on the shelf, and that's about the best thing I can say. Not one I'd reach for again, just grab their mainstay Cerveza Atletica.
